Lancashire Humanists provide a forum for people of Lancashire to meet and discuss social, political, religious, philosophical, scientific, and artistic issues. Current monthly meetings are held in Preston on the third Wednesday of every month.
Lancashire Humanists are a partner group of the Humanists UK, which represents the interests of ethically-concerned but non-religious people; and the National Secular Society, which challenges religious privilege and promotes separation of church and state.
Through the year the group aims to have guest speakers to talk on topics of interest to the group, with specific venues organised for these occasions. The group also aims to attend local community events to enable the people of Lancashire to find out about Humanism.
Ideal for atheists and agnostics to meet like-minded people.
How to join
Lancashire Humanists currently have a membership fee of £5 a year. Feel free to come along and join their discussion group to find out more about Humanism.
