Preston City Centre Parking

Preston city centre offers ample parking options for cars, motorcycles and coaches. From pay as you go, multi-storey, surface level, and dedicated disabled car parks to park and rides, there are plenty of options when visiting the city.

Preston City Council car parks

Preston City Council manage the following five car parks located at convenient points around Preston:

  • Avenham multi story pay and display car park
  • Hill Street surface pay and display car park
  • Trinity Square surface pay and display car park
  • Chapel Yard disabled car park

Bus Station car park

Preston Bus Station car park is a multi storey pay and display car park located above the bus station with easy access into the city centre.

Shopping centre car parks

The city offers two multi storey car parks at the following shopping centres:

St George's Shopping Centre

St George’s car park is a pay and display car park situated at the heart of Preston City Centre. Located between Lune St, Fishergate and Friargate making it super convenient for shopping and other city centre visits.

Fishergate Shopping Centre

Fishergate is the city's largest surface car park. Located at the bottom end of Fishergate, adjacent to the railway station, it provides quick access to the city centre.

Preston Train Station car park

Preston Train Station provides a large surface level car park located next to the Fishergate Shopping Centre and offers a drop off/pick up and short stay areas.

Coach parking

Coach parking is available at Preston Bus Station on Tithebarn Street.

Park and ride

Avoid the stress of city centre parking with Preston's two park and rides based on opposite sides of the city. With buses travelling from the sites to the city centre, both park and rides take you straight into the heart of Preston.
