Preston Railway Station is located on Fishergate Hill to the south-west of the city centre. The station lies at the hub of the North West and Lancashire rail networks, serving Liverpool, Manchester, Yorkshire and links to all local services in the County.

The station is also a principal station on the West Coast Mainline, providing direct links to London, Glasgow, Edinburgh and other national destinations.
