Preston Playhouse

Preston Playhouse is a popular venue for leading amateur and junior drama groups. Thirteen plays, a pantomime and a festival each season. They may be amateurs but performance standards are extremely high whilst ticket prices remain astonishingly low!

Road Directions

Market Street is accessible from the bottom of Friargate. Turn into Market Street West and follow the road to the right. The Playhouse is on the right and the car park is on the left (collect a pass to park free of charge from the Theatre).

Public Transport Directions

From the Bus Station – Follow signs to Lancaster Road. Turn right then left at Ringway. Cross at the zebra crossing and continue down the Ringway. Market Street West is on the right.

From the Railway Station – Turn right onto Fishergate then left into Corporation Street.
Turn right at the traffic lights onto Corporation Street. Cross at the junction with Friargate and Market Street West is the first road on the left.
