There are two Park & Ride sites in Preston: Preston Portway which is situated close to Preston Docks and Walton-le-Dale.
This 810 space Park & Ride is located at the rear of the Capitol Centre at Walton-le-Dale and boasts many special features:
Bus Services
The first service for the City Centre (Jacson Street) leaves at 0700 and then every 6/8 minutes until the last departure at 1922
Return services from the City Centre operate every 6/8 minutes until the last departure for Walton-le-Dale at 1930
On sundays and bank holidays there is a 15 minute service from 1030 until the last departure from Jacson Street at 1721
Services operate non-stop to and from Jacson Street terminus next to the Harris Museum in the City Centre with the exception of one inbound stop on London Road and one outbound stop on Queen Street
Bus Fares
Return fare from the Park & Ride to Jacson Street is £2.50 per person before 09.30 (Monday to Friday)
After 09.30 and all day Saturday, Sunday and bank holiday the cost is only £1.20 per person.
Children pay 60p return at any time. Concessions are available to senior citizens and disabled passengers on production of a valid pass.
Special Fares
A family ticket is also available at the cost of £5.00 before 0930 and £3.00 after 0930 and all day Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays which allows up to 4 people travelling in the same vehicle to travel.
Purchase a 'saverstrip' ticket for £22.50 and receive ten journeys for the price of nine.
Tickets are bought from the on-site kiosk which accepts payments by debit and credit cards.

Bus Services
The first service to the City Centre leaves at 0700 and then buses run up to every 7/8 minutes until the last departure at 1922.
Return services from the City Centre (Lune Street) operate up to every 7/8 until last departure for Portway at 1930
On Sundays and bank holidays there is a 15 minute service from 1030. Last bus back from Lune Street 1735.
The buses operate from the bus shelter on the Portway site and stop on Fishergate opposite the railway station adjacent to the Fishergate Centre and then on Lune Street for the St Georges Mall Shopping Centre.
Customers using the Hartington Road Car Park will need to cross Strand Road to get buses. Use the pelican crossing and please take care.
To return to car parks passengers may board at either the Lune Street or Railway Station stops.
