Open Market.


Operating on four days a week, the outdoor market, situated underneath the splendid Victorian canopy next to the Market Hall, comes to life with a traditional open market. Over 140 stalls can be accommodated in this central location right in the heart of Preston City Centre. The Market is full of character, colour and charm but perhaps of more importance, excellent goods with friendly services and bargains galore. Each stall is designed to entice the shoppers and the browsers or simply those walking through the town.

Car Boot / Flea Market.


Every Tuesday & Thursday the Victorian Open Market site is transformed into one of the regions largest and most popular Car Boot and Flea Markets. With over 160 stalls and car boot spaces, the atmosphere is simply magic. Crowds flock to the market searching for that bargain hidden amongst the thousands of items being sold. If you love browsing and searching for valuables, collectables or even toys to keep the kids happy, then this is the market for you.

Indoor Market Hall.


Open Monday - Saturday 8am - 5.30pm the indoor market covers two floors and is linked to the Open Market. The market has excellent access to the multi storey car park via lifts and walkways.

The lower floor of the Market Hall is dedicated to food and comprises 75 stalls selling fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, fish, health foods, sweets, cooked meats, bread, confectionary and traditional local produce such as Black Pudding and Tripe. A number of specialist stalls can be found selling more exotic fruit, veg and spices - including an excellent Polish delicatessen!

The upper floor is dedicated to non food items with the exception of a first class café which overlooks the Open Market. There are 60 shops and stalls selling a variety of goods including ladies fashion, haberdashery, childrenswear, jewellery, handbags and luggage, sportswear, homebrew kits, household goods, coats, underwear - the list goes on!
