City Centre

The City of Preston has two major shopping centres providing top high street retailers in a fresh and modern environment as well as three smaller precincts with a variety of stores.

St George's Shopping Centre, anchored by Marks & Spencer and linking Friargate and Fishergate, has attracted some top retailers in H&M, New Look, Warner Bros Studio Stores, The Sony Centre and Faith Shoes, plus a fine range of jewellers, gifts and health & beauty products. Costa Coffee has taken up residency in the centre of the precinct providing a spacious area to sit and relax whilst doing the shopping.

The Fishergate Centre offers an attractive, safe, clean environment where you will find all you require under one roof. Located in the heart of Preston's bustling City Centre, there is an exceptional mix of retailers from small specialty shops to large stores including Debenhams, TK Maxx, TJ Hughes, Littlewoods, Argos and many more High Street names, including McDonalds. The Miller Arcade is a Victorian Shopping Arcade located near the Harris Museum in the centre of Preston. There are a number of shops offering a variety of goods and services including a number of restaurants and a bar. It is possible to take a leisurely stroll through the Arcade or walk around the imposing Miller House building which is a classic example of commercial architecture from the late Victorian period.

Within the St John's Arcade and Guild Hall Shopping Centre is a range of well known local independent traders serving the regular customers that visit on many days throughout the week.
