Smiths Arms

The Smiths Arms at Lea Town is convenient for both Preston and Kirkham as well as the BNFL plant at Salwick and underwent a major refurb in 2005 when the new landlords took over. The pub stands alone on a country lane surrounded by fields with a great beer garden making it perfect for the summer months. There is also a separate heated patio which is also an outside smoking area. The landlords are keenly building the pub’s reputation for food and within a year had picked up the Thwaites catering pub of the year award. The food is fresh, locally sourced where possible and traditional British in style. Popular choices are Smiths chicken, cooked with stilton, mushroom and bacon, the Mixed grill and Black pudding as a starter. At lunchtime they do a light bites menu as well. Booking is only required for tables of 6 or more. Pub games on offer include darts and dominoes.
