Corporation Arms

Constructed in 1750 on the site of an older building, this family run-run country inn was renamed when the preston Corporation built the nearby resevoirs. Comfortable and relaxing, it often serves beers from local breweries, and its excellent meals contain locally-sourced ingredients where possible. Look outside for the old horse trough, now used as a planter, which was reputably used by Oliver Cromwell to water his horse on the way to the battle of Preston.
