Gill McManoman got into keeping goats as a hobby some 20 years ago. It's grown from there into a fully-fledged farm on the edge of the Trough of Bowland with a herd of over 100 Anglo-Nubian goats. From her stall at markets including Hoghton, Vale Royal, Knutsford and Ashton, McManoman sells goat's cheese and meat, predominantly diced joints, but she will do shoulders to order. Her burgers and sausages are a good place to start for those new to this tasty meat.
