If you're visiting Preston make sure you experience some of the creativity that's beginning to blossom here!

Preston aims to capitalise on the wealth of Creative talent both home grown, and graduating from UClan over the coming years. Our 'Fresh -Creative Industries in Preston' scheme has already supported 120 new creative businesses since July 2003, in areas such as Film, Visual Arts, Craft, Design and Music and the performing arts and we hope to continue this level of growth making Preston a vibrant centre for the Arts, Creative and Cultural Activity in the North West.
We have big plans to regenerate an area south of Church Street which will be dedicated to developing and growing our creative businesses, showcasing and selling the work of local artists and designers, creating an exciting cultural hub with café bars, arts venues and inner city living opportunities
Already we have launched a number of exciting initiatives to kick start this cultural revolution! These include our innovative creative workspace development, The Watermark on Ribbleton Lane, Preston FM our community radio station, the Mitchell and Kenyon Art House Cinema based in Uclan's Foster Building, FRESH on the Market , a contemporary art Market held on the third Sunday of every month on one of our beautiful Victorian Covered Markets and Preston Art and Design Centre, known as PAD our brand new contemporary art gallery and shop based right in the heart of Church Street.
