Discover how Viking artisans turned the materials they had around them into stunning items of cultural significance.
Vikings made ordinary things to serve their everyday needs, adding to them by decorating them with designs which reveal the true spirit of the Viking Age.
Explore items the Vikings created from wood, bone and metal as well as many more materials showcasing their lesser known side.
The exhibition will also feature the Silverdale Hoard as well as a replica Viking house.

Saturday 24 August and Sunday 25 August, 12.30pm
Silversmithing for Beginners is a beginner's workshop where you will learn how to craft a beautiful and unique bangle inspired by Viking silversmithing.
