Preston Guild City

Preston Skyline at Sunset

I think you’ll agree that it is an exciting time to do business in Preston...

The evidence of a city that is changing is everywhere, with cranes and new buildings dotted across the skyline and an ever-increasing range of both well-known and independent restaurants, bars and cafes opening.

Over the past 12 or so months, a group of local business leaders have been meeting with senior representatives of Preston City Council to discuss how to work better together, embrace the developments and encourage the growth of the local economy. The result is the development of Preston Partnership – an independent Community Interest Company – created to harness some of that excitement, offer an opportunity for collaborative dialogue between the public, private and third sectors and actively engage in the development and future potential of Preston.

Having officially launched with its first event in March 2019, the Partnership is proud to be hosting its next quarterly event, Preston, Looking in, 8am – 10am, 6 June at Preston Marriott. Andrew Carter, Chief Executive of the national think tank Centre for Cities, will be presenting, followed by a panel discussion and opportunity for questions and networking. It will be an opportunity to hear an analysis of Preston from a national perspective, to better understand how we can look to build on the strengths and opportunities the city already offers.

Looking for businesses, organisations and individuals who are committed to, and passionate about, Preston, members are invited to actively engage in the development and future potential of Preston. With access to a quarterly events programme, smaller-scale added value events, newsletter and online members directory, there is ample opportunity to make connections, gain information and get involved. A small annual subscription fee enables the partnership to maintain its independence and self-sufficiency, proud to be business-led and council supported.

How to register

Registration is simple and can be done online via the website, where you’ll find all the information you may need regarding the Partnership, including joining, upcoming events and the online Members Directory.

We hope to see you at the event on 6 June!
