Lively Itinerary

Group in a pub

Morning

Get your motor running at TRAX. With over one mile of nerve shredding twists and turns and 3 levels of circuits to choose from. Kart racing at Trax will get your adrenaline pumping. The Fleet of race karts are geared and tuned to reach speeds up to 70mph. All lap times are relayed back to race control and the pit lane so you can monitor your driving skill in comparison to the other drivers in your qualifying sessions. Race Grad Prix style format, similar to the F1 World Championship where drivers have a practise session and then go into timed qualifying heats. Or opt for the Endurance race, fantastic non-stop action for the more experienced kart racer. Here team members must work together and develop tactics to ensure victory over the other teams within your group.

The lap times then allow a final start grid to be made up of all the competing drivers, with the fastest drivers on the front row. Watch out Lewis Hamilton! Open weekends and school holiday Wednesdays. Bookings only on weekdays. Full details at www.traxmotorsport.co.uk.

Lunch

After tearing up the race track you are bound to be in need of lunch. McDonald’s and KFC can be found on the docklands if speed is still what you have in mind. Alternatively make your way back into the city centre and to lunch in one of the many bars where you can eat and chat whilst the latest tunes play in the background.

The Forum Bar on Winkley Street. By night Forum is an Uber trendy bar all polished floors and chandeliers, by day it is an oasuis of calm. Somewhere to enjoy a coffee or continental beer. They offer high quality, stylish, contemporary bar food in modern surroundings.

Afternoon

Passion for Fashion

If it’s your plan to hit the city centre bars, pubs and clubs this evening then looking planning your look or getting ‘bang on trend’ is an essential part of the planning of your evening. Of course the main shopping hubs of Fishergate and Friargate house many of the high street retailers we all know and love, from Primark to French Connection. But, nestled in between are independent fashion stores and boutiques that should not be overlooked. The Closet, CocoBoo, Originals, Dr Kruger, Fusion, DB3, Duffer, Hudz, Ocean and Couture are just a few worth trying on for size.
