A quiet site near RSPB’s newest Reserve

Takes all types of units (tents, caravans, campervans, and folding units) with mains hook-ups available.

Nice flat field with some hard standings.

Road Directions

From A59 Tarleton traffic lights. Into Tarleton Village, follow signs for Hesketh Bank. Continue straight on through Hesketh Bank to end of straight. Main road turns left into Shore Road; Landsdowne is 1.5 miles on left just before Hundred End Lane.

Public Transport Directions

Frequent Bus Service (No 2) from both Preston and Southport leave at Hunts End stop. Walk 100 yards to Landsdowne Camping – on your right.

This site is in a great location. There is easy access to level walks along the Hesketh Bank salt marsh. Many sea birds basking in the sun. It had rained heavily over the previous days but the ground was firm and had dried out well.The proprietors Ron & Liz are experienced campers and make everyone feel welcome. Its handy for Southport and a massive car boot sale every Saturday is only a couple of miles up the road. We'll be back!!
